Association meetings are held at the St Albans Community Centre, Errington Reserve, St Albans, every month on the 3rd Saturday between 10.30 AM and 1.30 PM. The meeting hall is hired and is provided by the Brimbank City council. The hall is equipped with all the amenities like Overhead Projector Screen, Music Systems, Fully Furnished Kitchen, Air Conditioning and Audio systems. Regular agenda of the meetings include tea and snacks in the morning, Yoga Session, Discussions of general interest, music and dance followed by Lunch (vegetarian food only). The members are required to pay a fee of $8, to partly cover the cost of administration and running the meetings.
As part of the regular meetings, festivals like Diwali, Vaisakhi, X-Mas are celebrated. Days of national importance like Indian Independence Day (15th August) and national day of India and Australia (26th January) are observed and celebrated in the respective months. On these occasions, sweets and other eatables are distributed.
Also, twice a year, the members are taken for picnic to certain interesting places on the outskirts of Melbourne. Buse(s) are hired by the Association to transport the members to and from our regular meeting venue.
Further, twice a year, buffet lunch is organised at certain good hotels where members make their own arrangements to reach there and then enjoy the company of fellow members and the delicious food.
For these events, members are required to pay a participation fee of $10.
